Apart from the modern architecture of must-see Rotterdam, most Dutch cities are well preserved historic zones -- so unlike Manhattan, Malmö, or Milwaukee, the Dutch have their cutting-edge Santiago Calatrava designs built out in the country. While ying into Amsterdam, you can admire three of his bridges amongst the farmland. Did you know that tiny Holland is the world’s second largest exporter of food? A monument to our ability to grow things is Sije, our very own farmboy from Frisia, a rural province with its own distinct language similar to Old English. Sije shakes the hand of Straffe Ketten’s President Miguel on the right, a scene familiar from the Thalys Cup. Thalys, the high-speed train service between Amsterdam and Paris, also stops at Liège, Belgium’s train station, another masterwork by Calatrava.
ARC Amsterdam Lowlanders, the gay and straight friendly rugby team in the Netherlands, dropped their pants again for the 2018 calendar.
